So we have attacked the Bridal Expo 2011 and have won. I feel this is a great achievement. Not only were my loyal bridesmaid's brilliant, but my love for this crazy state-of-mind that is wedding-planning has been indulged.
To begin with we had breakfast and it was nice, casual and an interesting way to start the day. This lovely meeting occurred at Dome in town - and may I remind you (as I sure didn't realise until I was nearly crashing into a closed roller-door) that Argyle Street Car park doesn't open til at least 9am or something on Sundays.
Afterwards we headed on out to the DEC, and at 10am they opened the doors and all of the bride-to-be's and their trusty crews rushed in out of the freezing cold wind.
I had been warned by a friend not to work the Expo up in my mind too much for fear of being let down. And I must say this was brilliant advice. As we were walking in I could see that there were plenty of stalls to look at (although not as many as I would have originally thought there to be) and there were lots of coordinators willing to tell you all about who they were and what they were up to.
The main thing I was after were Celebrants and to be honest there weren't as many as I would've liked! And there were so many photographers... they're work was all equally beautiful - I'm not sure what we'll do in that department later on.
Finally as we managed to get samples of cake, business cards for heaps of people (most of which I didn't really need but it was fun to take anyway) brochures, magazines and pamphlets we got prime seats right up the back and dead centre for the Fashion Parade.
And I'm lucky we did - IT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME! I'm excited to say that The Dress is now one of many The Dresses. Oh what ever am I going to do??!
That is all. I'm so tired. I'm going to bed now! Although I may take a bridal magazine with me just to keep me happy.
xoxo
